What dish would you choose to make for a bring-a-dish tapas party?

There are so many lovely possibilities I'm struggling to choose. 8 people so I need something that I can make enough of for 8 to share without breaking the bank (was considering huge prawns in garlic and chilli but that will cost pounds to make a big dish). Will be best if it tastes good hot or cold.
