Ideas for an easy New Year's Day brunch

Hello, I know it's a little early but I like to get the planning started!

My ILs will be hosting Xmas and Boxing Day etc and by New Year's, I reckon we'll be tired of turkey and trimmings.

I was thinking of an easy (very little cooking) New Year's Day brunch as follows:

a whole ham (sliced / cold)
potato salad
some other salad
a whole salmon (steamed in oven but served cold rather than warm)
some part baked rolls baked in the oven

I need to feed 11 adults and about 6 kids - any more ideas or even recipes for the salmon?

pam, this delia smith smoked bacon & lentil soup is sensational and very easy to make. can you do a batch and freeze it beforehand? or were you thinking buffet food?

Was thinking easy as possible, with as little cooking as possible ie. anything which can be eaten cold if cooked in advanced or better still, can be bought and passed off as my own
