Tell DH that he can deal with them when they are bouncing off the walls and throwing tantrums then.

He'd soon change his mind!

tell him to cook for them then and let him deal with the side effects.

yeah, ignore him!

My DH has said for the last three years "why do you bother putting veg on DS's plate when he never tries it let alone eats it".

My reply was "because one day he might try it and decide he likes it".

That day came last week (he was 4 on Sunday!). I said "put this brocolli in your mouth and tell me if you can taste it". (Sucker). So he did it. Said he liked it. Played the same game with carrot and baby corn and peas.

Tonight he ate roast turkey, potatoes, broc, carrots, corn and peas. I am one happy mama.

Nothing wrong with what he's suggesting but we all know it has be balanced with good stuff. Keep trying.

Sorry but I'm in the 'everything in moderation' I don't think it does that much harm to feed some of this stuff occassionally. Obv. not at every meal but ykwim

great vegetable line Kbear! Never thought of that one.

I can't believe he fell for it - DH was in shock! It has worked every night since too.

He would NEVER try new food, drove me mad saying he didn't like before he tried it. "Mummy, I don't like green" was his line. I think it's a control thing (if I look deeply at it) - DS thinks he is control but I am ha ha!

I'm another one for everything in moderation but I do have burst of really healthy eating when I have more time. As parents we want out kids to eat and something is better than nothing.
