I bought a leopard loach about 8 months ago and the other fish have been disappearing slowly but surely. As I had bought some of them 18 months before I got the loach I guessed it might be age or the nitrates so I have been keeping an eye on the water quality, which seemed fine. As the other fish were all a reasonable size and were disappearing only occasionally I didn't suspect the roach at first (although I had seen him go after the snails), so when I bought ten tiny neon tetras the other day I didn't have any fears for their safety. Until I woke up this morning and checked the tank to find six missing! There are no bodies to be seen so I'm assuming that they've been eaten overnight. I don't want the tank to be just one loach, an otto and eight shrimp (which are old and large and can look after themselves) but I don't want to buy something that's jogging to end up as dinne. What can I put in there that will survive?
