DH and I saw this today. The 3-D version. Tip-top. I've liked Sandra Bullock since the fabulous "Demolition Man", and she's excellent here. As is Mr Clooney.

The CGI/SFX are gobsmacking, but don't overwhelm the action: I was biting my nails so much, and it's only a 90 minute film.

Not to spoil, but I would have ended the film at a different part of the action.

I've just seen this too, and loved it! I think I know which part you mean, but I loved the ending as well. Sandra Bullock is great. Really tense the whole way through.

??? I can't book until 8th November, which I will do especially as it will be Imax. I wonder where/how you both saw it?

I'm in Australia, Davros. Is it not out yet in UK?

No I don't think so. Looking at the IMAX website it's massively booked up so we're going after school with DD (assume its suitable) on Monday 11th. IMAX is the only way to see this sort of film IMO

Is the story enough to make it worthwhile seeing in 2D? I can't watch 3D.

Definitely Obtuse. 3D is great but you don't really need it, it would be just as good in 2D.

I love 3D Imax for SFX films but don't even notice any difference when we watch them at home in 2D

Dd and I just saw it in 2d. Hated it and took the p*$$ all through (quietly) but came out and talked about it for ages. Want to see it in 3d now!

Saw it On Monday in 3D at the IMAX. Loved it but would have liked more George Clooney in it!

I saw it in 2D (I loathe 3D) and it wouldn't even occur to me to mention it.

I was pleasantly surprised by Sandra Bullock, and in general, it was good enough so that I could stop thinking about SFX.

Do you think it's suitable for a 9 year old boy or will it be too slow and boring??

Can't believe there's not more chatter about gravity here!! Shock

Saw it tonight finally it was breathtaking to watch I had looked it up online do knew what happened in end but I was literally on edge of my seat!!

Parts of it were ridiculous yes but worth all the technical awards it's achieved

Watched it last night. Thought it was terrible and horrendously implausible.
