I've been fasting for 3 weeks now and had major results, loosing nearly half a stone! My advice is to plan what your going to eat on a fast day the day before so you're not fussing on the day or taking bites do the kids' leftovers convincing yourself that you're not eating that many calories doing so!!! I drink loads of water and tea as can't stand the headache if I go without caffeine. Good luck.
hi leah, i just started today too! i'm 37, and have 4 kids. i'd like to lose 4-5 kg to get myself comfortably back into my favourite jeans. i've been a real piglet over the summer and now need to get my arse in gear (and a little smaller). i work out with heavy weights and cardio 2-3 times a week and before the summer had 22% bodyfat, so i'm not unhealthy particularly, but now i'm fed up with my clothes all being tight. anyway, i had a pret salad nicoise at around 2.15, and will have some soup tonight. so far so good... will join main thread as well, there seem to be lots of nice, friendly people there
Hi all, just started the 5:2 diet, it's my first day of fasting today. I'm 36, have two kids and need to lose 2 stone. If there's anyone that would like to join me who's just starting out then that would be great. Would be nice to have some help and encouragement along the way. Am on my first fast day. It's 1pm and have just had a cuppa soup. Going to make a home made soup tonight for tea. Have been topping up with plenty of water. Have a bit of a headache at the moment and hoping this will ease as my body gets used to the fasting. Anyone out there that has any tips or advice then please pass them on. Thanks. X
