Non Stop Period

I have an implant which I have had on and off since 2011 (2011 - 2013, pregnancy and birth of DD in Sep 2014, then Dec 2014 - now) ... I have never ever bled on it. Literally no periods since I had it in.

I have now been bleeding for what is getting on for a month now - extremely heavy and very painful. I've been to the doctor but he just says to 'let it finish on its own and come back in a few weeks if it doesnt' but it is showing no signs of stopping, only getting worse and heavier every day. A friend of mine had a similar problem on the implant and she was prescribed something to stop it, but he hasnt said that as an option and said if it's still going in a few weeks we will investigate. Not sure if it is relevant, but I stopped breastfeeding in February.

Is there anything I can do? I am miserable.

You can either go and see a female doctor who understands the implant and can prescribe you something or you threaten to rip you're arm off.
