nexplanton/implant - six months left

Right I've had my contraceptive implant for two and a half years.
It stopped my periods dead for a year or so, then they came back six weekly and now I'm bleeding for the third week on the trot - lightly but it's a fucking pain.
I'm about to chop out my own womb...

Do I get it replaced and hope that it will reset everything to having no periods?
Do I get it removed and get a copper coil? I've never been pregnant so I'm not sure they'll even let me have the coil. But the idea of no hormones sounds like a good idea for a bit and it lasts 10 years and hopefully in 10 years time I'll be menemporsal and can stop worrying about it.

Or the pill.

I can't be arsed with visiting my doctors every three months for the depo.

I hate having periods and will run packets of the pill together to prevent them.

Anyone started bleeding after a period of time with the implant?
