...I'm still bleeding?
Background - I'm 31, have really bad heavy periods that normally just last six days, with the (crushing debilitating) pain on the first 3-4 days and then the light bleed the following couple.
I tried Microgynon when I was 22 and another pill which I forget the name of when I was 26 but they both had horrible side effects which made me come off them.
After so many years of awful periods (I also have a rare condition called Uterus Didelhys which means I have two wombs, which makes the pain debilitating) I decided to go back on the pill to manage the pain.
The doc has given me this Loestrin 30 and I started taking it last Friday 2nd when my period started...it's now Sunday 11th and I still have bright red blood and clotting as well as a slight ache in my back (definitely nowhere near as bad as my regular pain)... Is this normal?
I feel like I went on this to make the periods easier, I dont want them longer! Do you think it's just my body getting used to having a new hormone in it? Should I speak to the Dr? Any help or advice gratefully received x
