Ear defenders for percussion/drumkit

Hi
I was just wondering if anyone had personal recommendations for ear plugs that drummers use when playing live? DS1 is usually OK for his lesson (and has headphones for practice at home) but we're looking for something to protect his hearing as he does more group playing - he's also keen on bass guitar so might be useful longer-term for that, too. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

We have Alpine MusicSafe Pro earplugs which come with a choice of filters.

That's reassuring - I have seen some good reviews online so think I may well go for those! Many thanks!

I don't think they are quite as good as the reviews suggest but without spending a fortune on professional kit they are as good as you will find and they do the job.

DS uses the Alpine too.
This is fab for home: www.gear4music.com/Drums-and-Percussion/Vic-Firth-Stereo-Isolation-Headphones/COF because they can hook them to the Ipod and hear the backing track.

Thanks for both the recommendations, those headphones look great!
