Having terrible time at work

I am having a terrible day at work. I have to sit and listen to people laughing and joking about their 'win' and saying how everyone who voted Remain should just get over it and 'stop acting like spoilt kids' I am biting my tongue but find it really bloody awful. I am desperately sad about the result and just feel like crying. I'm sure there must be other people in the office who did not vote leave but they must be keeping quiet too. I just don't know how to make this less of a big deal.

It's the opposite where I am. The remainers are being really vicious to those who voted leave. It was all so harmonious before and now it is like a battleground and a deeply unpleasant place to be.

I think any talk about Brexit should be banned in the workplace. I'm sure we all voted with the very best of intentions and it seems those on both sides have been lied to and duped to an extent. We need to stop this bloody bickering.

Politics and religion are two topics that should be banned in the workplace. Unless of course you work in the House of Commons or a Church!

Why don't you report them, they're probably racists and probably once ate Robinson's jam. If they're Brexit voters they're probably EDL too.

Thanks all. I have my earphones in and they have stopped now anyway! I too feel these topics should be left out of the workplace which is why I'm biting my tongue. Just don't want to be here at all and it was a nice place to work last week. How long will all this go on??

i voted remain and have to deal with it. in years gone by my parents voted against Vietnam and my grandparent against WW1 and WW2 - the result - you voted, you read the result and you get on with life.
