Can anyone recommend a green energy supplier please?
I saw an ad for one a while ago but can't remember where, so any advice/experience would be much appreciated Smile

We get our electricity and gas from Scottish Hydro - all of the electricity is from renewables, and they offset the gas.

We get our electricity from Good Energy - we have stayed with them because the price for us works out better compared to other suppliers with 100% renewables but I have to say that their customer service can be a bit ropey if you have a problem.

I know people who have switched to Ecotricity who are pleased with them.

Its worth checking prices because they can vary a lot between those with higher standing charge/lower unit price which obv are rubbish if you're a low user (which we are) but can be better if you're a higher user and those with lower standing charge but higher unit price.

Thank you both for the advice and info.
Interesting about various prices...will have to do further research Smile

We are with Cooperative Energy.

It's still 100% renewably sourced, but was way, way cheaper than Good Energy. I have also heard great things about Ecotricity.

it is much better to go with one of the small independent suppliers the with a green tariff from a mainstream supplier.

May not be cheapest, but I like the investment plan that Ecotricity has, something to look at.

I like EBICO, you can still get energy without a standing charge with them (unlike EON whom I switched away from). Their energy price is the same whether you pay quarterly with the bill, monthly or with a prepayment meter. They are a social enterprise, their power is reasonably green currently supplied to them by SSE. They are particularly good for very low users of energy and provide some supplier diversity from the usual big 6 IMHO!
