Child classroom treatment

My dc has told me that a child in their class has a special accomodation and that the teacher threatens to remove it from them in a variety of inventive ways when this kid is disruptive. The kid then flips out and has to be hauled off to the principals office.
His English is not fantastic so he can't explain himself very well and I don't think they would believe him if he came up with this story himself.

Given this special accomodation is likely to assist this kid with self regulation, would I be wrong to tell the parent ( who is an acquaintance ) that this is happening so she can tell the school they haven't quite grasped the concept of a 'regulatory assistance device'.
I don't want to tell school myself as I don't want my dc/me to get labeled as trouble makers.

Yes I would tell the parent. I was very grateful to the parent who told me that the school were using ds's TA in a different class leaving him unsupported so that I could do something about it. I didn't mention the parent at all just turned up unannounced and caught the school in the act.

Thanks for that insanity, I've asked my DC and they reckon it's happened 4 times, so not a one off. I'll have a chat with her at the weekend.

Yes I would tell them. My son was non verbal at pre school so couldn't tell me that he was being punished for not eating the snacks at break time which they deemed mandatory Hmm if he refused to eat foods that made him gag and retch he lost his playtime.

As a parent it is devastating to not know how long cruel behaviour has been going on without your knowledge.

Thanks Monkey.
Im happier with my decision now, my dp is concerned about my DC if we 'get involved' but given we'd want other parents to do the same in reversed circumstances, I don't see how I could not tell her.
He had me second guessing myself.
