HR advice needed for NHS???

I am currently employed by a university but work for NHS. My whole department is paid and employed by the NHS. I have yet to transfer over to NHS terms and conditions and their payscale. My manager is doing this for me and has even managed to get me a small payrise at the same time. My only problem is that I have just thought that I will have to work for the NHS a minimum of one year before I am entitled to NHS maternity pay, is this correct even though I have been doing my current job within the NHS for 10 years. Does my service not count at all or would I have to start from scratch as an NHS employee!

If you are going to transfer over to the NHS with no break it is likely your continous service will not be interrupted and you may well be entitled to all service-related benefits accordingly. But it's something you need to check as part of this process.
