My brain has turned to mush.

I feel really nervous.

Can anyone think of any good questions to ask at the end of my interview today?

Its a job as a band 5 MH nurse, working with women in a medium secure environment (NHS).

I cant concentrate, my ears are ringing.

Any mentoring/supervision arrangements?

What sort of training/induction you'd get?

Sorry, don't know anything about your area of work so not sure if these are relvant or not.... Good luck!!

"is there anything about my application that makes you think I'm not a suitable candidate for the role?"

(gives you a great chance to sell yourself, if necessary, or overcome any worries they might have)

or "what do you think I might find most challenging in this role?"

is there anything specific to the job or organisation that you could ask? That always goes down well.

I know nothing about this job but from the title you could ask, I don't know, about how they handle certan situations with the women, or something about the faciliy itself and how it runs. Do you know what I mean?

Then the trick is, while they tell you, to try and work out which bits they are really proud of/keen on/think are pretty clever. Nod sagely and then say that that sounds really good, without being too arselicky.

basically if you can get them talking then compliment them on their facility in an appropriate manner, they will think you are utterly wonderful1

This always works for me!

I have been working there, doing bank shifts as a band 3 so I know the environment etc.
(I think thats why im so nervous, strangely)

I think I really need to sell myself with regards to knowledge about significant womens MH issues, self harm etc.

I feel worse than the day I took my driving test.

I started a thread entitled "interview phobia" last week, so I really empathise with your nervousness.

You could use the "any questions" slot slightly differently as an opportunity to state any relevant skills or experience that you didnt get to talk about when answering their set questions.

Good luck - and breathe...

I'm not surprised you're nervous then! If you know them i can see why that's worse..

No other ideas really, but really good luck

What are the three main qualities you're looking for in someone to fill this role?

Why did the previous person leave?

How would you describe the management style of the company?

How do you see my role progressing in the next year/two years?
