Any other disillusioned architects out there?

I have been working part-time as an architect for the last four years for a great little firm which has allowed me to work part from home, part from the office. However, I am thinking of giving it all up again (I left architecture in my twenties to do something else) and doing something different - I find the potential for making mistakes, the worry and the low pay, coupled with the looming recession loses me too much sleep. Anyone in a similar situation or have any advice? Thanks!
