Come and talk to me about being a SALT

I'll admit, I don't know that much about it but from the little I do know I think it looks interesting. I'm having a big existential crisis about work and looking for a new direction.

Can anyone tell me about qualifications/ease of employment/hours etc?

I have a degree in Modern Languages and one of my A Levels is linguistics (not sure if that helps?)

I was studying to be a SALT, but have had to give up for now as I had my dd.

I have to say the course requires a huge amount of commitment, with placements and assignments. Although, it is very interesting and rewarding. I believe that SALT's are very much in demand, especially if you are not fussed about location.

Good luck with your decision.

Sorry forgot to say that Linguistics will be very useful, as there are whole modules dedicated just to that. So you will have a head start!
