I have my employment tribunal on 9 June and will be 9 months pregnant, I am legally trained anyway, but feel that the eperience of sitting opposite the guy who terminated my employment because I took time off to look after DD1 will drive me mad, also the stress os initiating the tribunal myself, I don't want to go nto early labour.

My local CAB have advised me today that they do not have the funding at my branch to allocate a case worker who can represent me, I have also tried another branch in a diff location and they said that you have to be resident of their city to be able to be allocated a case worker.

Any other ideas, as CAB are no go, any ideas will be looked into!

If the CAB feel your case has merit then you could try a local pro bono unit.

Otherwise have you checked your household insurance to see whether you have legal expenses insurance. If so then you will probably be covered for employment claims. They will want you to use their allocated solicitors though.

You could try taking out a sub to the Which? Legal Service - although check whether they will take on an existing case. Think www.which.co.uk should find them.

Pro-bono units tend to only do one - off advices although there are exceptions.

If you don't have household insurance (and most do include up to £50,000 for legal expenses on employment etc)
then try FRU www.freerepresentationunit.org.uk/
They are trainee barristers and solicitors and will do advocacy for free.
