I have just been trawling the internet and there is loads of jobs offering the opportunity to work from home.
Has anyone or does anyone know someone who does this. They seem too good to be true!!!

I work from home doing Usborne Books and it works really well for me. It enables me to look after Kieran full-time, work, make money and have real adult conversations out and about lol!!! Kieran has more friends than i have EVER had as he goes to loads of different child-centred places with me. Its fab!

  • However please be careful though looking from work from home opportunities online (and offline I supose) because there are loads of scams about. I liked the idea of usborne but also the fact that its been going for 30yrs and is registered with the DSA so I knew it was legit.

You can host parties but I never have (just not for me to be honest although they are good earners).
I do sales at soft play centres, toddler groups, toy libraries, brownies, TumbleTots - oh loads of different places- that sort of thing and do other things (like sponsored reads, summer/xmas fairs / book fairs) at schools and nurseries.

A lot of the time is spend at home online looking for upcoming events and emailing people etc. I enjoy it and it works reallywell with Kieran - also the people you are talking to are all Mums and Dads which makes life easier lol!!

What are earnings like with Usborne?

It depends entirely on how uch you want to put into it (timewise). I do 2-3 events a week apart from very busy times and put a fair few hours in at home on the net / ringing round / emailing and I bring a nice amount in. Its paying for me to learn to drive, made xmas so much easier, contributes to the massive amount of cash we seem to spend at Tescos (!) and most importantly has enabled me to stay at home full-time with Kieran. My earnings are increasing weekly as I get more and more contacts and regular customers / repeat bookings and I earn on my teams sales too (Usborne pay this - not my team members) and get higher commission on my own sales etc when I have three or ore teammemebrs working at one time.

I hope this answers your question hun?

I havent seen this one before - But I do YouGov and never have I had 10-15 emails a month lol - it took me a full year and a month to get £50. theyre great sites if you dont mind waiting for your money (it all adds up). Pineconeresearch is another good one - you can opt to have your money put straight in paypal orget luncheon vouchers (I have made £8 in 6 months on that one). I wonder if its better to go with the competition type sites and see if you can win th prize car or littlewoods vouchers or whatever?!

Pmsl! Sounds daft but you could always re-jig your household bills - I changed my telephone (landline), mobile (toa different plan) and changed Gas and Elec and saved£52 a month - If you do that and have a standing order for the money saved going elsewhere you'll feel the difference. Thats a lot of 1p books hun!

you could have a look at www.mumandworking.co.uk it has lots of info about various party plans, starting a home based business, and details some of the many scams out there!

Hi i have just been looking at maybe selling Usborne books.

Can I ask.... can you sell them however you want? Just wondering if your allowed to sell them on Ebay or anywhere else like that.

Also how do you get more books from them? Do they automatically send you more? Do you have to take a lot of books everywhere or just a catalogue?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks

I really hope you don't mind me joining in on this thread but was just wondering if stickyj you could give me some more information about the music classes - I am a teacher and love singing so it might be good for me but does it bring in much money?

Hi I work from home doing Kleeneze, i have been doing this for 3 and a half years and i love it i regularly earn between £850-£960 every 4 weeks for about 12hrs a week. i also have a part time job which is 21hrs a week I have 3 children aged ,7,6 and 19months and a husband who works full time 40hrs+ so as you can see we don't really have a lot of time and our hands are full but it actually fits in perfectly around the children and our jobs. It's perfect for anyone who does not want to do the party plan thing! and for busy mums like me. Check it out www.freedom4u.me.uk and www.kleeneze.net or email me [email protected] There are only 8,000 distributors in total in the uk,eire, holland and germany so there is a heck of a lot to go at, i hope this helps someone as it certainly has helped me, i've never been so well off since starting with Kleeneze
