how to decide what to do next?

I am 37. I am rather burnt out with regard to my current employment and have a contract for two years to run. I work part time at the moment so do have time to devote to this. By the end of that two years I want a complete career change but I have lots of ideas but nothing solid. Obviously, in order to proceed I need to work out what I want to do? Does anyone have any ideas or experience about making such drastic career decisions? TIA

I seem to change careers seasonally, and I've looked at stacks of books about it. My favorite is The Pathfinder by Nicholas Lore. It's good for figuring out what you want to do. For actually getting a new job, you'll probably need another book, but I would start with something like that.

Winnie think some more of an idea about what you would like to do may help us to give suggestions.

lilyloo, it would be creative & possibly involve working with young people (one of the few areas of my current job I still love) but equally it could be running a veggie food business. I think ultimately it is going to involve working for myself. Not sure this helps
