Leaving my company anyway due to not getting on with boss but she gave me the most shocking review. She's really upset me and some of the statements are factually inaccurate. Can I complain of no point? I have been at the company and always been meets or exceeds some. How gone down to meets some and its due to personality clash pure and simple. I also put cancelled/inactive goal and she changed to does not meet. Also i have line managers on leave - been away for the full year and they got a better pay rise! How does that work when they haven't been here? I was going to move to a different line manager but obviously just gotta work my notice which is end May!

If it is factually inaccurate you can fight it. I'd go through each point individually and five reasons and evidence why the score does not reflect accurately the performance you have made.

I've had a similar issue. HR were useless but I took it through a formal grievance process and just heard it went my way. The grievance was a managed by an independent senior manager and he assessed it based on process rather than merit. E.g. He noted that I had no warning that my performance wasn't meeting expectations. Do you have access to something like this? I also joined the union to support me with the process side.
Down side is that things are a bit frosty now. It was also all consuming for a few weeks. Still glad I went down that path now. Good luck whatever you decide.

Yes I'm not sure what to do- I have an email of complaint keeping it general. I'm still not sure if they'll give me any bonus either (was told it was being done out of cycle due to being promoted in April last year). I don't want it to get messy. I could understand if they had said I was still developing at the new level but some of the comments were just to stick the boot in on disagree ta we'd had when she was micromanaging me and giving me tasks on top of existing workload with impossible deadlines so she could rubbish me. She claims she hasn't set out to rubbish me but to blind copy head of dept (she's on my side and told me And has challenged my LM about overly being negative towards me) and to ask my colleagues about what I'm doing on projects and if I'm delivering. I used to manage some of these staff and they've said in the past I was the best managee they had so even they were saying over the year to watch my back. I don't care so much on the rating. It's the blatant untruths and conjecture that could go down on record I don't like - esp as I had a really happy 4 years prior to that!
