Work being awkward sods

Hello!

I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant. Work have been very unsupportive (I'm a TA) throughout. I am certain I don't want to return after maternity leave because of several reasons (was unhappy before I was pregnant so seeing this as an ideal time to scarper!):

  • when I told my boss, I was off fr 2 weeks with sickness/stress/sick note said pregnancy related problems (ie coming to terms and deciding what to do with baby no3), I came back at about 8 weeks pregnant and my boss had told a few colleagues/management. Not one said congratulations.
  • I've had a lot of time off sick with PGP, and have clearly been struggling. Work colleagues great but none of management have actually bothered to ask if I'm okay.
  • one of my managers told someone whilst I was sat there when I wasn't even telling anyone (and even told her that doctors had said i couldn't have any more!)
  • I arranged a meeting with HR to say I'm struggling. Asked to email her saying what would help, did so. Been promised a meeting since July, but had nothing.
  • repeatedly asked HR for copies of maternity policy (I work for an academy, and no policies on intranet) and despite promises never receiving anything. Also asked about maternity pay, I don't know if I'm entitled to just statutory may pay or if they offer enhanced.
  • asked also about having 39 weeks maternity then being able to tag holidays onto the end, was told no as they don't work like that. Contacted ACAS, who have said they are wrong (& illegal!) Asked for HR to confirm I cannot accrue holiday in writing when I will then contact Union to take further.

I've been signed off for last few weeks, and am until maternity leave at least. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with their work? And any advice?

Thanks for listening to my moan!
