DH had a job interview 2 weeks last Wednesday. This was after a CV, application form, online assessments & telephone interviews. DH thought it went well.
The company said they'd let the applicants know by the end of the following week i.e last Friday. They were interviewing for 10 positions.
This Tuesday DH telephoned the HR woman who appears to be dealing with this recruitment and she apologised and said they're having difficulty getting all of the details from all of the candidates i.e complete work history, supporting documentation etc. and wouldn't be offering jobs until they'd received it all. She hoped to be letting people know by mid-week this week.
It is now the end of this week. DH attempted to call the woman in HR today but her phone says that she is not in the office today. He's searched for a general HR number and cannot find one.
Would it be pushy at this stage to send an email to the general HR email address to follow up on the job application? Would this be seen as positive (enthusiastic/keen) or negative (annoying/pushy)?
This whole process is nail biting as DH really would love to get this job.
