Universities are open to term-time only and local councils are too IME. Problem is that the jobs tend to be lower grade so not necessarily very exciting.

Universities/colleges frequently have term time only jobs for library staff. But - you wouldn't get half terms off, except as your annual leave -and you might have to work on rota the odd evening or at weekends in term. Unis may also have a few term time only admin and catering jobs.

You could try on your local council website. They normally have a number of Jobs that are term time only. If you want to work with children you could try the childrens information service. www.childcarelink.co.uk. (sorry can't do links)

I work for LLoydstsb and they do it but its very hard to get. I couldnt get it and i have been with them for 11 years.They are only allowed a certain number of tt each building apparently???

AFAIK Asda is the only company that does that kind of job share although I'm not sure it's that formal. Certainly I have heard they have term time workers and that students can work term time in their uni town and holidays in their home town.

Depends how much you want to earn too. There are quite a few 5-6 quid an hour jobs in schools as lunchtime supervisor, admin, cook etc. around.

My DD is 9yo and after years of not working or term time working, I am now contemplating going back to work full-time if I can find the right job.

My DD doesn't start school until next september but I'm already trying to find a term-time only option. I currently work in a nursery but they already have so many term-time only staff that they don't want any more!!
Therefore I have taken on a work from home business - selling Usborne children's books, to people at home, in schools and nurseries. I've just started to make more of it to get it really flying by next year.
They have fab incentives and their starter pack is currently half price - only £19 for over £100 of books.

I have found it excellent and so flexible I can fit stuff in whenever i have time.
