If you take a case to employment tribunal it is a matter of public record which can be searched for and may be published and reported if interesting.

It is a matter of public record, and may be reported on but it's generally only employment appeals tribunal full hearing judgements that are easily searchable on the internet. www.bailii.org/uk/cases/UKEAT/

Hi, the acas website has publications that might help... acas.ecgroup.net/Browse.aspx

Failing that HMCTS themselves have a whole host of booklets... //www.justice.gov.uk/tribunals/employment/claims/booklets

Unless it's case law/a specific case then just google vaguely and a tonne of solicitors articles will come up.

The tribunal service publish annual statistics, but they will only list by main jurisdiction, so you'll get unfair dismissal (for your constructive dismissal claim) or the various heads of discrimination. What you won't get is bullying as such as that isn't a claim. What info do you want someone might know?

Thanks littlered. I can't put details on here in case it goes to tribunal. The site is too busy and public. I started a PM to you then had second thoughts for the same reason. :( It's very complicated so the detail I'd give would be too identifying. I appreciate your offer though

In broad terms though constructive unfair dismissal is where your employer acts in breach of your contract and you leave because of that. Its a harder case to bring than normal unfair dismissal because you have to prove you were right to leave (i.e. that they acted in breach of a fundamental term of your contract and you had no choice). Often in bullying cases you will be saying they acted in breach of the duty of mutual trust and confidence.

There is a fee for presenting a claim and compensation is loss based. This means that if you walk into a new job and your new salary is the same then you could end up winning your case but getting very little because you're not actually financially out of pocket. Compensation is capped at a year's net salary in any event (for very high earners its caped at around £70k).

You may of course have other claims such as discrimination which would potentially increase the level of any award.
