DD2 thinks I'm rubbish at covering her exercise books in sticky backed plastic

I don't but does anyone know where you can get those slip in covers to stick them in? Just so they don't get all greasy on my pristine kitchen table while she does her homework? You know the kind of thing I mean, the things library books are housed in, but exercise-book sized. TIA xx

I'm hopeless at it to. I looked for those book covers in stationary shops and a couple of dept stores but couldn't find them

Most of the sticky back plastic you get in shops is rubbish - too thin - hence you end up with bubbles or it sticks to itself.
My DS2's school sells covers (yet another little money making enterprise for the school) which seem to be compulsory.
If you can't find plastic covers in the shops, could you find some wrapping paper or wall paper that your DD approves of so that she can wrap her books in that?
