what do you reckon? they are saying that 60p of each ticket goes to children in need. a 1 in 500 chance of winning. do you think someone will really win?

Just received a message from Ebay that this listing has been removed - I bought 2 too. Don't know where we stand now.

I thought it must be ok, but like you I did buy too and also had message.
was going to post on here to see what happens. I'm guessing we'll get refunded by paypal.

I've tried doing the 'contact seller' but it just says that the form is not available at this time. arse.

Private lotteries are illegal, aren't they?

apparently so.

have had email from the seller now saying he has given the money to charity and bought a wii and a couple of bottles of champagne and lists the winners. I didn't win, but hey, if he does give the money to charity at least its gone to a good cause.

Okay. But a) you have no proof he's given money to the charity. b) you have no proof he's actually given anything to any winner (or that he didn't just buy one ticket for his brother, and oh, gosh, just by chance, his brother won!). Private lotteries are a Bad Idea.
