I have a pushchair on ebay which I need to end for a genuine reason - I've just found out I'm pregnant!! It won't let me end it as there's less than 12 hours what can I do??

(Have namechanged as I don't want anybody to know just yet)

There is nothing you can do with less than 12hrs to go. You'll just have to tell any potential buyer that the item is no longer for sale once the listing ends. You will probably have to pay the fees for listing it and any seller fees (if the item had a bid) but its not a problem to say the item isn't for sale once the listing ends.

Does it have any bids on it? If not, just hope it does not sell.
Otherwise, either sell it and treat yourself to another one, or explain to the buyer.

Congratulations btw

Ok thanks I was thinking of writing do not bid on the listing and then cancelling the bids that are not it and hoping that nobody decided to rebid, but if I can just tell people at the end I may just do that. I cannot afford to buy another pushchair and this one is in excellent condition, it's typical that I finally list it and then find this out

(Have reverted to an old namechange btw, am not single anymore and thanks for the congrats)

I've tried before to add 'do not bid' on a listing with less than 12hrs to go but from what I can remember it won't let you amend the listing with so few hours left.

Thanks whispy, I have tried and it won't let me. I will just have to email the winner when it ends and say its not for sale unless I can get a friend to bid a really high amount on it (not something I would normally do but I really didn't expect to find out I'm pg) but I think they're all away or working today.

I gather you've emailed after the auction and said it's no longer available? If so did you get neg feedback, I'm 100% on feedback and although I'm not a big ebayer I don't want to risk a neg.

Get someone (a friend) to bid on it so they win.

Do you want to delete it right off now or do you want to go for the mutual agreement thingy not to proceed cos item no longer for sale? If the latter...you need to start the ball rolling your end. I'm happy either way. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, do I need to file an unpaid item dispute?? Like I say I'm not a big ebayer and I don't want to do that if its wrong and will affect your feedback. Thanks

Don't worry...just mark it as item paid for and delete it off...I'll do the same this end...ok?
