Buyer from Canada, I only specified UK postage...

Just received payment from buyer for a dress I sold on Sunday only to discover they're from Canada! In my listing I specified I would only post to the UK, so I've emailed explaining saying I will need to work out extra postage and if they're happy to pay extra then I'm happy to post it.
Is there anyway I can block bidders from other countries? I only sell bits and pieces occasionally and this has never happened before.

You don't have to sell to her if you designated UK only in your listing.

Yes, you can block bidders from other countries.

But I can't remember how so bump!

change your preferences to block bidders from countries to which you don't post

although..... it is no extra effort to post worldwide - and there are a lot more potential customers if you sell worldwide

thanks expat and six. I've never posted anything more than a letter to Canada before now, do I need to concern myself with customs and stuff?!

the PO will give you a sticker to put on the back of the parcel for customs.
have a look at the royal mail website - it explains all you need to know, gives you prices and weight limits etc, just like the UK postage

thanks six, have just had a look at RM, doesn't look like it's going to cost too much more to send, do you have to pay for the customs sticker as well? And how do I invoice for just the difference in postage?! Sorry for all the questions, I'm rather sleep deprived at the moment and I'm having to read things 3 times over before the sink in!
