Buyer left negative, false feedback - what can I do?!

I am so and !

Apparently the item I sold was tatty and unwearable! This is not the case it was something my son only wore twice. Buyer only has 3 feedbacks sent, I had 126 positives, and now one negative.

Can you still leave a return comment under it? Have never had a neg before and feel very offended and annoyed! I am guessing I cn't ask ebay to remove it? hmm]

you can leave a comment but unless they're using bad language in their feedback you're stuck with it.

crap isn't it. we got our first neg last week, with over 1000 +s.

can't even neg him back (and other sellers NEED to know our experiences with him)

you could offer her a refund in return for mutual removal of feedback. Afraid that is about all you can do. I wouldn't worry too much though, you are bound to get the odd twunt.

eBay not likely to remove for you.

I would send buyer and email grovelling, say really sorry etc, offer full refund of item price and P&P, say they can keep item/donate to charity shop. This is if you want to preserve your 100% feedback.

That's disgusting that she left feedback without even contacting you first!

I would definately leave a comment under her feedback.

Try not worry - your other feedbacks will speak for themselves.

Honestly - since Ebay brought in the new feedback rules buyers are getting very liberal with their negs

don't offer a refund now. they've negged you. you'll just be out of pocket and have no retaliation back.

ebay won't remove the feedback

Yes you can leave a comment to it. Be polite and factual. I have done this on amazon saying that I was sorry the buyer was disappointed with their purchase and if they had contacted me I would have been happy to try to resolve the problem. After that my sales went up!!!

Elk thanks will put something along those lines.

I am not offering refund as item was fine, hardly worn, buyer didn't contact me and left feedback weeks after receiving item, oh and am ebaying as I desp need the funds so not giving money to someone this horrid!!

How do I leave a comment then?

I always leave buyers feedback when they have paid but am now thinking this is naive of me

Buyer is a man from selling name I think.

never leave feedback first as a seller, in case of situations like this one!

click on feedback to the left, then click on feedback forum, you can leave comments on your positive to them too (i think, we didn't leave any fd for our loony buyer)

I think a lot of people in your situation are leaving a positive feedback, but stating what happened in the comment line still IYKWIM?

So although their feedback score will still be 100% the comments are more telling.

I know myself, even as a buyer, I am almost completely ignoring the feedback percentage and actually reading the comments since they changed the rules.

i just said this on a different thread, that i dont actually know if it works or how but on goofbay.com in the ebay shortcuts section there is an option to remove negative feedback. could always have a look and see, you need the item number.
