Saw an item on ebay that I wanted, but it wasn't buy it now, and I wouldn't of been in when the auction finnishes later today.

So i emailed the seller asking if they had a buy it now price. They replied straight away with a price and I agreed to it, emailed back saying I would buy item.

What happens now ?? Does the seller need to change the listing to buy it now ?

She hasn't replied to my last message yet, and the listing is still as it was.

Never mind, she's just changed it.

Yes. The seller needs to alter the ad, adding a buy it now button, so that you can buy it. If they don't and they send you an invice to pay, the transaction is taking place outside of Ebay so you won't get Paypal protection if they decide to mess you around.
Good luck.

Even more confused now.

She hasn't changed it to buy it now, but has apparently lowered the reserve. Thats no good though as I need to actually buy them now. Plus the agreed price was supposed to include p&p and she has left it as £8.

She is now saying that she can't change it to buy it now, so can i just bid up to the agreed price and then she will send me an invoice for that amount inc the p&p.

Surely I could still then get outbid though ?

Or can she end the auction once I have bid ?

she can end it under the 'sold the item to the highest bidder' and then it will go through as normal for you paying, invoicing etc.

she probably cant add a buy it now if there are bids on it already

she can sell to highest bidder and then invoice you.

There are no bids on it yet, but it finnishes in about 4 hours, so perhaps that is why.

Will see what she says in next email, god it is confusing, and I am meant to be painting, not sat here LOL.
