eBay

Seller 'no longer registered' is it worth opening a dispute?

I bought a relatively cheap item from a high feddback seller about 8 days ago. The day after I paid it is saying he is no longer registered with ebay. I have emailed him to check that the goods will be sent but have had no reply. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks KnickersOnMaHead. I did pay by paypal thankfully. Is there no protection with a postal order?

God thats crap. I love ebay but have become so wary. The item that i bought did seem too good to be true price wise, so I should have known better

open a dispute with paypal now. if they can get your refund for you they will. The seller may still have funds in their account and so the sooner you open the dispute the better - paypal will be able to freeze the funds. If you leave it much longer it will be harder.

Thanks everyone. Amazingly the item turned up today but its far too small & obviously fake. Whoops DP is not going to be happy!
