i bought a pair of ugg boots off ebay which i obv thought were real, when i rec'd them it turned out that they werent

i messgaed the seller sayin, that i would report them to ebay, paypal and trading standards, (they were welling about five other pairs but they had good feedback and their feedback score was 164) they messaged me back agreeing to refund me so i posted them back this morning (it was agreed yesterday about the returning and refundung) so then i have just gone into me ebay and noticed that they are now no longer a registered user on ebay

i have reported them to paypal and escalated the claim straight away becuase i don't want them to empty their paypal account ffs have i lost my cash?

You should be fine if they have not spent the money on ebay or the net through paypal, if they have requested to transfer it to there bank it takes 5 days & this won't go through now you have opened a dispute/claim until this has been resolved.

Have you said on paypal you have returned the item as it was fake & not what stated? it should ask you to give the tracking number & then you should recieve your money.

I think you will be ok as long as they have not spent the paypal money like i said.

Ebay are rubbish they do remove listings which is silly as it's the proof, imagine if you had not paid through paypal you would not have any proof of the listing even existing!

good i feel a bit better now, i have the tracking number etc

and i did state that they were fakes and that the seller had said they would refund me and bascially wrote what i have said on here about ebay booting them off

i thought i would be best opening a dispute so that their paypal would be blocked

Yes you are right the sooner the dispute is open the better as the money can only sit in paypal then not be moved until it is resolved.

well i have emailed her as well - it's such a shame as i think that this sort of thing ruins ebay all the copies etc - and they were good fakes if she had been offering them a reasonable price i might have considered it but trying to pass them off as the real deal is just a p*ss take

You might still be okay. I bought something once and the next day the seller was no longer registered. I e-mailed them as I was worried and they told me not to worry, they were just not doing ebay any more and I got my item the next day!
Could be an explanation.

well the seller never emailed me back ....

but paypal contacted me and asked me for the tracking number to prove i had returned the boots (which thanks god i posted them special delivery i had)

and they have decided in my favour but it's subject to what is in the sellers paypal account.... fingers crossed
