Can someone explain feedback etiquette to me?

Other than that, any top tips?

Need to be very professional in your service as a seller. Detailed and honest description, dispatch quickly, pack well, signed delivery for items >= £20 in value.

Feedback is a waste of time imho!!

there is no etiquette - it is voluntary and load of folk don't bother. Never ask for it as a seller either btw.

Top tip is do buy it now if selling and send Hermes/Collect plus with full tracking and upload tracking info to the transaction.

I sell and buy on eBay and think feedback has its place.

Selling my stuff, usually clothes, I wrap in tissue first which gives a good first impression. I always hope for feedback and mine is at 100%.Always post within 24 hours where possible.

When buying, I always check the seller's feedback and think twice before using anyone with less than 99.9% rating.

If someone says they haven't received an item which very rarely happens, just refund.... it's not worth the hassle. Depending of course on the value.

Remember, most folk are honest and lovely, but there's always the occasional pain. Don't take it personally.

As a seller if I get good feedback I leave it in return. There's no practical reason for doing this but I just get unreasonably annoyed if I leave positive feedback and then a buyer pulls a fast one.

There's little point trying to leave negative feedback and I can't be arsed to play tricks by leaving negative comments hidden in "positive feedback".
