In your experience what sells the best on eBay?

We go on holiday next month. All paid for but I need to raise spending money. I've sold quite a lot over the past month (30+ items) and made about £200 Smile

However I am now running out of obvious things to sell. The car needs an MOT & a service before we go away so the money I have made so far has to pay for that. I need to raise about another £100 before we leave.

In your experience, what makes the most money? I have a ball gown/prom/bridesmaid dress with matching handbag, shoes and bolero (would list individually) that could go but a little eBay research seems to suggest they don't go for much.

Any advice grateful received!

i've had problems selling garments such as you've listed , in the past. they really do go for very little, even new with tags i sold a ball gown for only about £7 as it wasn't a known name. I'm trying to sell a Jacques Vert dress at the moment as a potential wedding guest garment and it's just not shifting and i keep lowering the price… in my experience it's always trendier stuff that sells better ( and yes i know JV is aimed at an older woman..but i've tried selling vintage but 'on trend' prom dresses before and not done well).
I really think it's the every day clothing that on the whole sells better
But good luck anyway
I would only start at the price you want, and wait till the next free listing, so you don't lose out

Stuff that was very expensive to buy in the first place, especially if in excellent condition.
