On the free listing weekend that included BINS there was an option given to re list automatically 3 times for free. Due to a technical error ebay has been charging 40p and NOT doing it for free so check & ask for a refund if this happens to you. Really annoying!! I just got an email congratulating me on relisting an item with a 40p charge and have had to contact ebay CS to sort out. I did tick a few so could be an ongoing problem if items don't sell within the first listing period. CS admitted it was a technical glitch on their part so just be aware & check your invoices.

I think ebay is really shit for honest sellers.

Thanks nickstmoritz have checked my invoice and they have overcharged me...four items so far. I have at least 10 more and I am now concerned as to whether I shall have to pay for these too. I never list unless it is free so am really annoyed that I am being invoiced for items that are not selling!

I have looked at one of the BINS but cannot see where I might have ticked to allow for the free listing to continue, do you know?

Ah - I will have a look. I think I only did this on one item when I revised some of the details. I was a bit suspicious of the deal. Mine were all on for 30 days and therefore have 7 or 8 or 22 days left, so I have time to check.

Hi I think the tick box for 3 x free re list was at the very end of the listing so you will need to revise any items individually I think. Hopefully it will still be there but who knows! Get the item numbers of each one they have charged for and contact ebay billing or try live chat or the phones to try and get refunded for any charges. Bloody annoying isn't it? What a mess.

I revised some items last night and the check box is still there. As nickstmoritz said it is right at the end of the listing before you click the button to make the listing live.

I can't decide whether to check the box on some more items or not. I have a lot of individual comics on at the moment, which I am probably going to sort into bundles for re-listing anyway, so I definitely won't do these. I will have to think about the rest.

If it still says "free" you could check any items you tick and ask for a refund if they charge.

I know - but 3 times free re-lists takes me into the school summer holidays here. I just like to be in control. Since they are BINs I suppose I could just end them early if necessary. (Of course, they may all have sold by then! Grin

2 items just auto relisted for free so maybe the glitch is fixed. Well if it works it would be quite a good deal. I think I will double check invoice though.

I had only marked one of my 30day BINs that finished last night to automatically relist. I was charged 20p. Sigh!

My items that relisted for free were auction not BIN so I think it is BINs that have the glitch. PF how come you were charged 20p, isn't it 40p for BINs? Bloomin annoying whatever..ask CS billing for a refund on any that should be free.

20p was for a book, I think "media" is cheaper. I have just been charged 40p for a Birthday card relist! I think I have one more item that will be automatically re-listed (if it doesn't sell in the next hour...) and I'll contact eBay tomorrow.

I didn't mean for these auctions to finish so late - I forgot about the clocks going forward when I listed the 30-day BINs. Sad

Well I got round to contacting eBay today by live chat and am promised a refund within 24 hours. I asked if the issue was resolved and was told "... the technical team is looking into resolving the issue and it is not yet resolved." I have 3 auctions finishing tonight - 2 will sell and I think the third won't be re-listed as yet. (I want to list a number of kid's books on Facebook and will include it with them.) So, now I have to make a decision about next week's 5 finishing BINs. Sigh!
