Payment showing 'unclaied' on Paypal

Hi,

I have been trying to pay for this item since Wednesday and it just comes up unclaimed. Apparently this is something to do with the seller - they have refused it, or don't have the right kind of account or something. There is definitely no problem with my account and I have used it with no problem for other transactions this week.

Anyway, I have contacted the seller to explain what is happening and she is being patient and pleasant and I have said I will contact Paypal if we can't get it to work soon. However, she also mentioned not having used her account for a while and the info from Paypal suggests this is a problem with her account rather than mine. I am wondering now whether she ought to be doing more to resolve it and am not sure that I want to be dialling the 0800 number to find out what's happening. On the other hand, I really want the item...

Advice please

It is the seller's problem, not yours!

I had this problem as a seller before and it was because I had typed my PayPal address wrong by one letter in the listing. My buyer had to withdraw/reclaim their payment and send it again to the right address.

Definitely the sellers problem not yours, maybe suggest she double checks her spelling?!

wrong email address on listing. You need to log into paypal where you can click on the payment and then tell the seller what email address the money went to. Then they can add that to their paypal a/c to accept the payment.

If that is not possible, you need to cancel it, and then send money via paypal to the correct email address.
