Advice needed - being ignored by seller!

Hi all, stumbled across this page recently and thought id turn to you all for a bit of advice on a recent eBay purchase.

Saw a listing for a trike, collection only. Starting bid was low but we bid and won, being the only bidder. Nothing in the listing about payment on collection so have paid by paypal.

So I email the seller asking when would be convenient to collect the trike. No response. Waited a few days and sent another reminder but still no response. Thinking maybe they might be on their hols or something. However, I noted that they are selling other items so I asked my mum to ask a general question on one of those items, under her ebay id, and lo and behold, a response within a day!

So now I'm thinking that they were disappointed that the trike didn't got for more money but hey, you put in a starting bid with the knowledge that that is all you might achieve. That's the nature of the beast!

Haven't ever really had any problems in all the years of ebaying so not sure what I need to do now so any advice would be appreciated......

and you can report them as a non performing seller and leave neg feedback and low stars if you want them to count.

Can you not get their address from the order details and go round?

You can open a dispute through paypal after a certain number of days, I can't remember how many.

I'm not sure i would feel comfortable just going round there, seems a bit confrontational?

I just feel really disappointed because it certainly seems like this person is backtracking on the sale due to the low price she got. What do you expect from starting a bid that low??

Feel most sorry for my little boy who will now not get his trike ??

Will most certainly be leaving neg feedback/low stars which will impact on their currently 100% score!

Have you already neg'd them? Just I would have pulled their details & see if there was a phone number there, give that a try before giving up. I have a problem at work where a colleague's emails never reach me; we are both baffled why, stuff like that could happen. With no joy after phone call you should report them as a non-performing seller, too, this really brings the matter to Ebay attention.

Thank you all for the advise. All's well that ends well, got a message for buyer mid week suggesting she didn't receive any of my messages and we collected the item today.

Am not convinced, she got the other message about interest in another item she was selling ok, but there you go.

Have just posted a separate thread about something I've sold, seem to be have a load of aggro with eBay these days!
