Ok, have been ebaying for years and should have seen it coming but a stooopid US buyer bought a DVD off me and then opened a dispute saying it doesnt play. Of course it doesnt, its region 2! You are in the US! Region 1 hello?
The dvd was clearly listed as region 2 and the buyer insists i should have explained about regions in my listing (no its not my job to educate people how dvds work).
Anyway ebay refunded her and closed case. Is it worth my while appealing and fighting my corner (against ebays automated crap system) or shall I just have a Wine and cry? Any advice? (Except dont do us shipping in the future?)

Aaaaahhhhhhrrrrrrggggg! Am 12 quid out of pocket and no dvd, as buyer wont return it.

Chalk it up to experience. I'm surprised you didn't think of this though when you sold the DVD to a US resident.

But I did Mrs Mushroom, I used to live in the states and we took our dvd and tv with us so we woulnt have to rebuy the kids DVD's. Im sure there are lots of temporary families who have done the same so its not completly un heard of.

When I have bought DVDs from abroad, they have always checked before sending to me in the UK. Not saying you should, just saying some places do...

So basically eBay gave given them the money back but not insisted on the buyer sending back the item.! Ffs.

Try standing up to eBay, because they really need to sort out situations like this rather than just siding with the buyer
