I ordered two rugs from a US seller on 10th Dec. They haven't arrived.
When I contacted her, she sent me a 'tracking' list (apparently from the US postal service) which says that the items arrived at 'your local post office' on 8th January and are awaiting customs payment.
I have been to my Royal Mail Delivery Centre. They said there is nothing waiting for me. I showed them the 'Customs tracking number' (not sure if that was any use to them or not) and they said there was no sign of anything having come into the country even. They said that if anything had arrived needing Customs payment then I would have got a grey customs form through my door - which I haven't.
What happens now? I have opened a case with ebay, but the seller is stonewalling me - she just keeps saying the item is at 'your local post office'. I have asked her to find out the name and address of this mystery post office, but not sure that she'll reply to that.
Any advice welcome! Never had problems with ebay before, so unsure of what to do.
