sorry fergoose. Im confusing it with 4 days to open dispute 4 days to close 8 days for buyer to pay.

depends if they pay or not. They will still have 8 days to pay from a dispute being opened.

It can stop them buying as well. My buyer conditions state that buyers cannot bid if they have more than 2 NPBs within 12 months. I think it defaults to 2 NPBs in 1 month, so all sellers need to change this and it will make the NPBs really worth doing

they get a strike against their account so if its the first time accounts won't get closed. Not sure how many chances they get if its not the first time.

what usually is involved? will they close the buyers account
