Divorce/separation

How long should it take for solicitor to file petition

I instructed solicitor 3 weeks ago to file for my divorce. In that time I've received terms of business and statement of arrangements for children. These were both returned two weeks ago along with cheque for fees etc. Am I being unrealistic for getting annoyed that this is taking a long time??

As soon as my solicitor received the petition and statement of childcare arrangements back from my husband, she sent it off with the court fee. Said it'd take 7-10 days for them to reply, which it did.
