Making money online- anyone found a non scammy method?

Trying to supplement our income a little, I'm on mat leave. I've heard of people doing surveys but has anyone actually made any money from them? I'm not expecting £££ but anything is a bonus really!

I do onepoll surveys and it takes me about 9 months to earn £40. The only reason I do it is because I work in an office and spend all day on a pc, so I check a couple of times a day. it's great to do as 'easy' money, but shouldn't be relied upon.

You could try entering competitions. the advice is to enter 30+ a week and you could win regularly. Some people sell their prizes. It's something you could do while baby naps.

Not so much an extra income but if you can cut back on your spends, it has the same effect as having a pay rise. When I was mat leave I could shop around for the best deals, whereas now, I don't have the time to visit 3 different places.

You could make jams and chutneys for Xmas presents or make hampers using goods you can pick up on offer.

You could ask friends and family to give you stuff they no longer want and sell it for them (I can't be bothered with the faff, but is someone offered to do it, I'd jump at the chance).

Swagbucks is legit - I went through a phase of doing loads of surveys and got £15 Amazon vouchers in a month. You could get more and they pay quickly.

onepoll, yougov and whatusers do; the pay rate for the last is very good (even better on a mobile) but you only get a couple of surveys a month.

yougov never screens out which is good. Don't bother with the Oracle surveys (prize draw, i.e. nothing) and remember each time to bank your points, not put them into prize draw entries.

onepoll is indeed slow. Surveys will stop when you are 10p off the cashout - email them and they add the money.

easier to do a 'no crap' agreement for Xmas and birthdays, stop all adult presents.

I do online surveys for a few different companies. A few an evening when I get the opportunity. In 2 years, have probably made £150 in various vouchers, plus 6000 Nectar points. It takes time to build up, but is a nice little extra now and then (I earned far more from them when on mat leave).

I do one poll, inbox pounds, pinecone and swag bucks. I used to do valued opinions as well. They are all legit. I don't tend to put that much effort in but probably made £100 this year across them all which is not to be complained at :)

strangely the time to cash out on yougov is reducing for me, although it is still 9 months to get £50. The first one was 22 months. You learn the tricks, shall we say.

also if you have a bit of savings, look at spending time setting up the interest paying current accounts.

I can also recommend doing surveys - I mainly do Valued Opinions & Nectar Canvass, but there are loads of others.

The supermarkets also tend to have a few schemes for making points rather than money - Tesco has Shopper Thoughts which usually earn 50-150 Clubcard points per survey, and Orchard which sends you vouchers to try products (I have had £3 towards fruit & veg & £3 towards fresh fish) then rewards you with a few Clubcard points for reviewing them. I also like doing product tests (on here & through Nectar Canvass, mainly) as you get free products & sometimes vouchers or points too (I've just finished a product test & received £100 of high street vouchers which is a big help towards Christmas).

Apart from that, I regularly declutter & sell bits & pieces. I have also had a few competition wins which I have not wanted to keep, so sold them on.

I have heard of a new site where you make predictions, answer questions - a bit like yougov but there are big prize pools up for grabs It is launching in December called almanis - its crowd type website I am pre-registered to sign up and see what its all about - good luck :-)

Honestly - a penny saved is a penny earned. Look first at what you can cut back on. Moneysavingexpert has a great checklist.
Also, it's coming up to Christmas. Do you have any skills you can use to make stuff to sell? Or what about fiverr? (No experience with that site, but seen it mentioned a few times!)

I do surveys on yougov - the surveys don't take anywhere near as long as they say they will, and it doesn't take that long to get enough points for the £50 payment. You won't become super rich with it, but it's a great way of making a bit of money ;D

Inboxpounds betting for me.
They have deals on,
ie £10 bet on ladbrokes (obviously in the hope they get you hooked- I NEVER play through these bets. can't be doing with it!) and inbox pounds will give you £15. be aware though you need 20 in your inbox pounds account to cash out, and your first cash out will take 2 weeks to process. you can get it via mastercard (virtual or physical) cheque or amazon voucher. I opt for mastercard, virtual if I just want it to shop online or pay bills online, physical if I want the cash, takes 3 days for physical card to get to you and this takes a couple of quid out of your winnings. Not cheque because that takes 90 days for it to get to you. once you've had your first cash out its then a maximum of 6 days as whatever day you cashout on you get your cash out on the wednesday following, even if you applied on the tuesday (Day before) so thats good.
I put in £30 and got £45 out(15 profit), literally took me five minutes and I just do it for extra cash to splurge as I don't really need the money, I wouldn't advise actually using your bets though as you may get sucked in if you aren't careful.
I wouldn't advise doing it if you can't wait for the money back though, Its never taken more for 2 days for the offer to credit my inbox pounds account but apparently can take up to four weeks in some cases, then obviously if its your first cash out that would bump it up to 6 weeks in total. Thats a while to wait if you banked on having access to it instantly, but if you've got a spare tenner I'm sure it could be useful for you.
When DH and I were in a tight spot financially and inbox pounds was quite new, I did the same back then, put 15 in, got 30 out (there was a limited deal on there for put 5 in get 15 back, but its normally 10 for 15), took the 15 out of the 30 and then put the profit back in, grew that to 30, then 45, then 65 and so on, just reinvesting it in the bets. I eventually (Think it took me 5 months) got about £600 back out of it. but it took ages, It was a godsend though. helped us scrape the money needed for a deposit for a flat (rental)

by the way you can also do free deals on there but Ive never had the patience to build up enough to cash out. I did spend about 2-3 hours a day on it when I was off work, took me a week and a half to get £11 doing the free deals
at the moment you get about 20p for signing up for stuff, ie secret escapes newsletter. can do surveys too for about 20p a pop (these are pretty poor paying as they're normally about 30 minutes :o)

I tried doing surveys in the last week. So far I have built up a grand total of $4.56 ($2 of which was a welcome bonus) and have probably spent 3 hours answering surveys (including lots that screened me out). Not going to pay for Christmas this way any time soon...

I answer text messages on a psychic text messaging service. I get 32p per message which has to be between 275-1000 characters long. Last month I made £300 (got to pay tax on that) This month aiming for £400.
