Bedside cot

I am trying to find a bedside cot - not a crib as I think these are a bit expensive for just a few months. However, I am really struggling!! After reading how good everyone says they are, I am finding it difficult to find a suitable one..........there was previously a Cosatto Close to me bedside cot which looked great, but it seems to have been discontinued (unsure why?). I have found a Troll Bedside cot which also looks good, but from reading the info, it says the max height of the base is 40cm (not including mattress) which is too low for our bed. Does anyone actually have a Troll bedside cot who could confirm this is the maximum height as it sounds quite low to me??! Any other suggestions most welcome, thanks.

We took the side off a normal cot and attached it to the bed frame. Got a mattress to fit. Much easier and cheaper!

The Ikea Gulliver cot is often recommended for this (£60!) and babymatressesonline.co.uk and cotmattressfactory.co.uk do custom sized mattresses if necessary (as with the side off you'll probably need a wider mattress).

mothercare catalogue have a "mothercare beside cot" £220. full size and height adjustable with 8 settings. side lifts up and over also. so it can be put back down when needed. 4 lockable castor wheels also. its beech

I've rented the nct bednest, which fits perfectly to the side of the bed. Now I just need to persuade dd that she wants to sleep in there...
