Loveliest cellular blankets?

Please indulge me here - shattered from 2 night so far of promodal labour, 41wks+1 and needing something to obsess over online as walking around shops is pretty inadvisable right now!

I want to buy a crib sized white cellular blanket for the new baby, but I want a soft one that washes well and looks "traditional" with that large woven in kind of check. And cotton. Maybe bamboo.

From ds1 I have a couple of cotbed sized white cellular blankets, hand-me-downs from mothercare and lovely, but at least 3 years old. Recent reviews are pretty poor though and they didn't feel great in store. I also have an Asda pram cellular blanket but it is still a bit cardboardy after many washes and doesn't look as soft and cuddly.

Anyone recommend a make? Too many options and no chance to go and see what they feel like IRL...

I have a mamas and papas one that I like, it's very cottony feeling and doesn't feel cheap. I'm not sure it's as soft as you're wanting though but mine has washed really well and hasn't gone cardboardy.

Over the years we've gone through our fairshare of cellular blankets from all of the leading brand names. Sone have been of variable quality (don't want to point the finger at anyone in particular).

I would say the best we've had (quality-wise) was from these guys www.yorkshirelinen.com/

Failing that I'd try House of Fraser

I've that it's def worth investing a bit more in a quality as it won't constantly need replacing.

Hope that helps :)
