Hello Girls,

I'm new on here and was hoping that some of you lovely ladies would be able to give me some advice

I was diagnosed with moderate to severe endometriosis last years and operated on in September to remove some adhesions and flush my fallopian tubes. This was successful and then I was given a six month cycle of clomid - nothing happened!! I have just been for a check up to be told that they will not give me more clomid and because I am 36 they need to try and get me on the IVF waiting list which is 2 years long!!! I also only get one free attempt

Anyway, I have decided to go for acupuncture and was wondering if anyone has had any success and also can advise of good clinics in London

Thanks for all your help and I can't wait to hear what your stories are x

Hi there fastaction

I had some mild endo which was lasered, by my ivf consultant at Hammersmith hosp (I then went on to have a succesful IVF with them). But alongside it I was having acupuncture with Andrew Flower. He was totally wonderful, really supportive and kind and lovely. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I had my first baby at 37 after 4 yrs of ttc. I then had a second - naturally - at 39. I think I was incredibly fortunate and I credit Andrew with helping me through and difficult period of my life. I will always be grateful to him (and the team at Hammersmith).

Good luck x

I should add, that Andrew was keen for me to delay the ivf saying that he was confident that he could help without me shelling out $$$$$ on ivf, but I was keen to get going asap with the ivf (and we were lucky enough to be able to afford one go) so I was treated by him for a while beforehand and then during the ivf treatment and during pregnancy.

At 36 I would deffo get going with Acupuncture.

A personal (i.e. not from MN Towers) recommendation for Su at the Notting Hill Acupuncture Clinic 020 7221 1326
I didn't see her for fertility issues but know that she has good experience with this.
HTH and good luck

Thank you Claudia Schiffer That was a great help - I will look into Andrew Flower he sounds great!!

Your story has given me hope because I am starting to panic now and I know that it isn't going to help matters but at least if I feel that I am doing something I'll be happier!!

It is brilliant that you managed to conceive naturally second time around!!

Oh I feel good now - just tried to phone the surgery but forgot it's bank holiday

Thanks to you too Olivia - I really appreciate your recommendation too and will look into this one as well!!

Thank you for being so helpful xx
