ok so I am 9DPO - way too early to be testing but I have been getting quite a few symptoms and I received a pack of ten clearblue tests (dont ask) today that I ordered on line so I thought, what the hell, lets just see if they work. I tested and got a +ve so faint I was sure I had imagined it, so left it, silly me then went to throw something in the bin and curiosity got the better of me (I know I know) and there is a MASSIVE positive its really thin but its dead bright blue the same as the control line.......do you think this could be my month or am I just being a pee crazed loon?!

I'd try again right now personally. I love getting positive pg tests, was never happy with just one.

Go on, you know you want to.

Am currently 39+3 weeks pregnant with a test that the same thing happened to me. Cept I did the test and it was neg threw it away- summat made me fish it out 24 hours later and it was positive. Was just after an MMC so was very cautious and took about 4 days for results to become much more obviously positive but there is hope!
Fingers crossed!

Thanks thandeka, did a test this morning and BFN...
the line on the positive I took yesterday has faded a bit so it looks thinner but still bright blue, might send an email to clearblue to complain, I feel totally devestated although I know it was my own fault.

I had a problem with clearblue - I had the outline of a '+' but not a solid line. Anyway, turned out to be a -ive. I wrote to them and complained (they replaced them with the new digital ones)

If it was some time after when you looked at it (I always did that to!) it may have been an evaporation line.

Anyway, good luck with TTC.

ooh, you will get the posh digital ones which tell you how many weeks.

You will have to return the faulty ones though!

I dont mind returning them, TBH they are starting to make me cry. I know it sounds silly but to believe for just a second that I had got my BFP after having been through so much, and then to have it dashed away just because someones product is crap, is really upsetting. Shame my hubby's working late I really need a hug

You could always go wild and, you know, wait till your period is late then use a bog standard pg test?

Early pg testers are the cause of a lot of unnecessary stress. Ditch 'em!

Sorry asteri, I can imagine you are feeling v down. My only advice is please don't test so early, as Nicky says it causes more heartache usually

Ahh Asteri. It's horrid being given a bit of hope and then it to come to nothing.
It's really hard not to test early. Especially when it's something you think about all the time. To be honest, I don't think you think about it any less, or are and less disappointed whatever time you test. If anything, testing and getting early BFN's has helped to keep my sense of perspective.

Do what's right for you is the best advice I think.

Hi asteri, before you complain, check that it soesn't state on the packet "discard after 15 minutes as you may get an untrue result" or something like that. The tests i took all said that, and if you binned it and then went back for it you may have been outside the timeframe when you looked at the result
Hope you get your BFP soon.

Hi pixiestix, I saw the faint positive within a minut or two but I thought I must have imagined it so I chucked it, have now resolved to waiting til AF is due.
