Does anyone have any advice about ttc while breastfeeding when you haven't had the return of your period?
My son is 13 months and there's no sign of AF yet.I have started charting and thought I had a thermal shift last month, but haven't had a period or a positive preg test, so I think maybe my tempertures are not reliable?I've had a hcg blood test done, but won't get the result til Tuesday, but I am expecting it to be negative as I would be 18dpo today and the tests are all bfn.

I have started taking B6,hoping it may help me ovulate, but my DS still breastfeeds a lot, basically 4 or 5 times a day and maybe once a night. He eats three meals a day and snacks, so surely I should menstruate soon?

I'd appreciate any advice and ideas, especially if you have been there.
I have had other children, but it was a while ago and although I know it took a while to resume AF, I can't remember exactly how long it took.

Hello. TTC while breastfeeding also, but my DD now only feeds morning and night. I did some reading on ovulation as AF returned after 3 months, normal for 6 months and now missed two periods but BFN using HPTs. From what I have read, you probably need to have at least a 6 hour break between feeds to increase the likely hood of ovulation. I bought some opk kits but now feel unsure about when to use them! bit confused really, perhaps I will try charting my temp. Good luck.x
