Just wondering if cycle goes straight back to normal?

For some women it can, others can longer. There is debate, however, as to whether or not you should try right away. Some feel it is fine, others feel it would be wise to give it a couple of cycles.

I ovulated 26 days after it MMC at 10weeks but was natural MC no need for intervention- scan revealed emby died at 6/7 weeks. Think if you have medical intervention it may take longer to ov). But the month I fell I ovulated on day 24 (average ov day 19) so I don't think it pushed it back much later. I also fell again this month so currently praying and slightly hysterical about it working out/not working out this time.

Depends on a lot of factors, including how far along you were when you mc'ed.

After a miscarriage at 11+5 in Nov, I didn't ovulate for 65 days. Another mc at 5+5 in April and ovulation was only around 4 days later than normal

angelfifi, yes you were on my other thread good luck for June!

It was a very early miscarriage, would cycle day 1 be day of full flow, or the day I tested negative, which was 2 days before flow?

Which is maybe why its better to leave it a cycle or 2

The idea behind having a couple of cycles is two-fold. One, it can help with working out your window of fertility, and two, it helps to insure that the uterine lining is well prepared to sustain a healthy pregnancy.

Day 1 of your cycle is counted from the first day of flow.

Hope things work out well for you soon...

Well I miscarried on Sept 25th 2003, and then I found out at the end of October that I was pregnant again, with my son who is now 4, and so I worked it out that I got pregnant roughly around Oct 13th, so I basically just continued ttc as soon as I stopped bleeding from the miscariage and was successful straight away.

Yeh like someone said previously too I think it does depend on how far pregnant you were when you miscarried as obviously the further on you were the more time it will take for your body to adjust. I was on 5 and a half weeks pregnant when I miscarried so my body had only just got used to be pregnant, so I think thats one of the reasons I got pregnant weeks after the miscarriage.

I got pregnant straight away after a miscarriage. MC in Jan, got pregnant in Feb, no period, and stupidly did not realise that you can be v v fertile after you mc.

And I asked the GP, and hospital dr if there was any reason to wait, and they both said not really, only to be certain about dates, and if you feel ready you can go for it.

Good luck and God speed
