that is fantastic. here's hoping what wil the clomid do ?

Report
OracleInaCoracle · 18/05/2009 19:44

it basically kickstarts everything. ovulation (v handy with one tube left, cos can release more than one egg) womb lining and can lengthen leutal phase. its so great. i know its not a wonder drug and there are no guarantees, but its something, and its a positive step!

Oh crap you are going to have twins!

Why so long? I went and got Clomid first time - turned me in to a fecking psycho and we stopped it after one month but I don't understand why your consultant has taken so long?

The very best of luck to you though. It can make you a tad moody though, be aware. Mind you DD was conceived after a massive argument so that may be a good thing! (The making up, not the arguing obviously).

If Clomid doesn't work for you Metformin may be an option btw.

they didnt want to give me clomid while i was still getting pregnant but now i think enough is enough.

dh is not looking forward to the mood swings, but looking forward to the regular lovin;'

Huh! Surely that was the ideal time to give it since it regulates hormone levels and helps you maintain the pregnancy for the first couple of weeks

Your consultant sounds barking!

But I'm glad it's happening now. Are you okay with having twins though? Seriously I have a funny feeling you will get two at once. (and I'm good at this prediction lark!)

OracleInaCoracle · 19/05/2009 11:28

oh WMMC, he is. he's made me cry twice (3 times if you count the tears of relief yesterday) ikwym about it being the ideal time. its been so frustating!

and as for twins, at this stage i would be happy whether we had 1, or 5. oddly, ive been having a recurring dream where ive had triplets. going from the bfp to bringing them home

lissie so glad about the Clomid and finally helpful consultant...here's to triplets!

Report

lol, dh visably paled when he read the "multiple birth" stats.

PistachioLemon · 19/05/2009 17:34

LOL my DH is also worried about that but without the Clomid. Several sets of twins on both sides and one set of triplets on DHs side. I think I'd be quite happy with twins but triplets... hmmm very scary.

Hope you don't get any horrible side-effects but do get a lovely sticky bean soon.

OracleInaCoracle · 19/05/2009 17:58

thank you.

blimey, lots of multiples in your family then

Good luck lissie - the best advice I was given was take it in the evenings before bed - it make alot of the side effects happen when you are sleeping! I was okay on it mood wise. one month I had horrible side effects when AF was due, sore norks, cramps, feeling generally not well I thought I was pregnant. The one month next month I had no side effects at all. My cycle length also changed from month to month. The month I concieved I had no reason to believe it had worked, I felt fine until the day before AF was due and the fish counter in Tesco made me run into the carpark and heave infront of the passing traffic!

The hot flushes and nausea will probably kick in tomorrow. But hey, that does mean it's working

You should read 'Extreme Motherhood - The Triplet Diaries' you know. Might make you wish for just one or two

But good for you, I can see you coping with whatever gets thrown at you!
